Barrister staff shows their support at the 2011 Revlon Run/Walk for Women
Barrister Executive Suites, Inc. is proud to announce that Assistant Vice President, Jacqueline White, Suite Manager, Ashley Hutchins, and receptionist, Yvonne Robinson, participated in this past weekend’s Revlon Run/Walk for Women. It was the 18th annual Revlon Run/Walk in Los Angeles and Jacqueline’s 5th time participating. Last year she was Barrister’s team leader and helped raise over $7,500.00. This year, Jacqueline successfully raised $800.00 in donations.
The event was held on Saturday, May 7th at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park. The day began with a celebrity opening ceremony hosted by Academy Award Winner and Revlon Global Brand Ambassador Halle Berry along with Alyson Hannigan, star of “How I Met Your Mother.” American Idol finalist/recording artist Kimberly Locke performed the National Anthem. Then, participants began their 5k run or walk to remember women who have been touched by cancer.
Donations raised from the event will go to cutting-edge women’s cancer research, help provide diagnostic treatment services for medically under-served women, and deliver psycho-social services and financial support to women with cancer and their families. It is an amazing event to celebrate survivors and to honor those lost. Sadly, one in three women is predicted to develop cancer in their lifetime. Fortunately, since 1994, the Revlon Run/Walk which is held in New York and Los Angeles has raised $60 million for women’s cancer. It is an amazing event for survivors, people who want to remember those they have lost to cancer, or to make a difference.
